THE GUIDELINES OF DEREGISTRATION OF A COMPANY

Fill in the Application Form ( IR1263 ) https://www.ird.gov.hk/chi/pdf/ir1263_normal.pdf of deregistration of a company. The form can be obtained at

Prepare a cheque of $270 payable to “The Government of the Hong Kong Administrative Region”. Please be noted that Business Registration No. and Contact Tel. No. MUST be written on the reverse side of the cheque.

Submit the completed Application Form (IR1263) and the Cheque to Inland Revenue by ONE of the following ways :

Post (To: Commissioner of Inland Revenue, G.P.O. Box 132, Hong Kong)
In Person (Receipt & Despatch Counter at G/F, Inland Revenue Centre, 5 Concorde Road, Kai Tak, Kowloon, Hong Kong)
Online (For applicant who holds ‘iAM Smart+’ and ‘e-Certificate’ can click the website (https://eform.cefs.gov.hk/form/ird060/en/) and complete the electronic Application Form. A demand note for payment of $270 in respect of the request will be issued. The fee shall be paid WITHIN 14 DAYS)

After submission of completed Application Form and Cheque, the “Notice of No Objection to a Company/ an LPF” will be issued a few weeks later. For enquiry of the status, please call the hotline of Company Registry at 2867 4699 OR the hotline of Inland Revenue at 2594 1788.

Either prepare “Application for Deregistration of Private Company or Company Limited by Guarantee” (NDR1) on your own OR buy the form at Company Registry. Then complete the form.

Submit the Application Form (NDR1) https://www.cr.gov.hk/tc/companies_ordinance/docs/NDR1_fillable.pdf and the “Notice of No Objection to a Company/ an LPF” to Company Registry IN PERSON. (Address: 14/F, High Block, Queensway Government Offices, 66 Queensway, Hong Kong). A payment of $420 in respect of the request is required (EPS/ Cheque/ Cash is ACCEPTABLE). For enquiry of the status, please call the hotline Company Registry at 2867 4699. It will take around 5 months for the whole process.
